Snakes are more vulnerable to human-snake conflict than humans. They are often, intentionally or unintentionally, injured by human beings and their equipment. Animals with superficial injuries are treated by our veterinarian at our rescue centre. Animals with severe injuries are shifted to the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad for intensive care.
At Friends of Snakes Society, expert volunteers handle various aspects of snake rehabilitation. The rescued snakes are housed in spacious, enriched enclosures with clean substrate and drinking water.
